This review refers to the Cosimo Classics reprint. I have purchased reprint versions before that were very poorly scanned and / or poorly bound. But Cosimo Classics has done a very fine job of getting good quality scans of the original version and also reprinting it very nicely. Like the other posters said, the formatting is poor. The half pages must have been scanned the wrong way because no matter which way you turn the Fire, the pages are sideways. The second half of the pages they scanned in have part of the prior page included making it hard to follow. Definitely not worth the six bucks I paid.
Although the content is the same, it only shows up in one format making me have to turn my laptop sideways to read it!
Very enlightening
The book was OK . Its good to have these ancient historical documents available in English and not have to rely on what some scholar wrote about them
Fabulous!
I think the book is pretty good. But NOT a good fire edition.
First of all, it looks like somebody took a picture of the page (And they only took a picture of half the page). So they put half the page on one page and half the page on the another page (And the words are really tiny). They even underlined parts of the book with a pen!
Then, when you face the fire vertical the page faces horizontal and when you face the fire horizontal the page faces vertical.
So in my opinion, do not get this book for you're fire.
